Jacob Bickham is a performer and composer based in Kansas City. He performs regularly as a soloist with orchestras and bands, performing saxophone concerti and his own scores.

Jacob has written a handful of pieces, including but not limited to three for solo saxophone, two for saxophone and piano, and a string quintet for saxophone. He is also commissioned regularly by well-respected artists in the field.

A true believer in the expressive capabilities of classical music, he pulls from the human voice to create his sound and interpretations, taking notes from singers like Etta James, Billie Holiday, and Durand Jones to inform his vibrato and tone.

In his compositions, Jacob is greatly inspired by artists like Sam Cooke and Sergei Rachmaninoff, combining late-Romantic structure with soul and R&B.

Continually evolving and improving, Jacob continues to compete, record, and perform at the highest level across the United States.
