Ligature Guide Chart

MCF = Most Common Fit – This shows the different models that are available for a particular instruments mouthpiece and brand.

We sell 6 different models: **not all seven models available on all mouthpieces.**

The Dark MODEL USES THE DESIGNATIONS "R" & "M" IN THEIR MODEL NUMBERS

EXAMPLE:

R (rubber) (1R, 1E, 2RS, 2RBL, 3R, etc)

M (metal) (1M, 2M, 3ML, 1MS, 1MD, etc)

The Light Model: THIS MODEL USES THE PRE-DESIGNATION "L" IN ALL MODEL NUMBERS

Example:

L (L-2, L-3, L-4, L-5, L6, L-14, etc)

The MARK III model: THIS MODEL USES THE PRE-DESIGNATION "C" IN ALL MODEL NUMBERS

Example:

C (C-1M, C-2M, C3Ml, C-3R, C-RL, etc)

The VERSA MODEL USES THE POST-DESIGNATION "V" IN THE MODEL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER.

Example:

VERSA (V-1R, V-1E, V-1RVS, etc)

The Evo-5 has been superseeded by our new StarSeries model providing better performance and lower cost

The EVO-5 MODEL USES THE PRE-DESIGNATION "E" FOR ALL MODEL NUMBERS

Example:

E (E-1R, E-1RVS, E-1E, E-2R, etc

The StarSeries MODEL USES THE PRE-DESIGNATION "SS" FOR ALL MODEL NUMBERS

Example:

SS (SS-1R, SS-1RVS, SS-1E, SS-2R, etc)

The PLATINUM MODEL USES THE PRE-DESIGNATION "P" FOR ALL MODEL NUMBERS

Example:

P (P-1R, P-1RVS, P-1E, P-2R, etc)

We currently produce 90 ligatures to fit many of the most popular mouthpieces available on the market today.

Please use our Ligature chart only as a guide to help in choosing your specific model for your mouthpiece.

Due to the increasing number of mouthpieces available today, there may be times when a particular mouthpiece is a non standard size. The exact size may be unknown to us and therefore not listed at this time.

In the case where you use a newer style mouthpiece and know that it is similar in size to another brand; please express the similarity in the “comments” section of our online shopping cart. This information can be used not only to ensure you are shipped the correct ligature, but also to use in our charts for others to benefit.
